and little girls with big imaginations and bad pronounciations are so funny!

The creator of it said he didn't think it would fit as an anime, but I think maybe it would! Yotsuba reminds me a bit of Miyazaki films such as My Neighbor Totoro and Ponyo, they too contain humour/charm based on the way little kids act, and they too contain many moments from everyday life and it works even though it's animated. So those films are kind of proof to me that things similar to Yotsuba can work as anime.
(Another reason Yotsuba reminds me of Miyazaki works is, the style for drawing people is kind of simple, but a lot of work is put into the backgrounds and objects. Plus it has this focus on Japanese culture).
